The Style Gossiper

It's cold but we will be freezin' in style

November 30, 2011

Cashmere sweater: Edeis (gift from parents)

Denim shorts: second hand

Belt: second hand

Burgundy suede coat: second hand
Shoes: 'Busted' by Jeffrey Campbell

The fact is, that it isn't that cold here at the moment. Not for being in the north of Sweden at the end of November. The grass is still very green, as you can see on these photos, and the temperatures are more often above zero than below. But look look, I am so not complaining about it! At all. I love Christmas but I don't really love wintery weather. So this is good!

This is from this Saturday when me and my mom were doing some serious Christmas shopping, including carrying 3 big candlesticks on our bicycles. Not the greatest idea when stormy winds were blowing. But so totally fun, though! Ha ha!

VLOG ask/reply part II

November 29, 2011

All right, here comes part II of my ask/reply vlog! And I really want to thank you guys for the AMAZING feedback I got on my first vlog, I mean you are so extremely nice and sweet everyone of you. I was so kind of regretting that I had signed up to do a vlog, because they tend to be really awkward and embarrassing most of the time, but now it just feels good:

and that is because of you. And oh, on another note, I am still in my bathroom, because that is still the only place where the lightening is enough. Ha!

First Sunday of Christmas

November 27, 2011

 Sweater: dad's

Burgundy red satin shirt: mom's

Leather pants: Zara

Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Some snaps from today, the first Sunday of Christmas. I am such a huge fan of Christmas so it feels great that it's finally here! Today we have been decorating, baking and shopping for Christmas flowers.  Tonight we will just gather together in the family and eat gingerbread, saffron bread and other Swedish Christmas goodies.

Oh and btw, I just had some fun when editing these photos, went a little bit crazy. Or a lot, actually.

Vlog part I

November 26, 2011

So, here comes PART ONE of my vlog Q&A session. You have asked so many interesting and cool questions, was so fun to answer them all!

And ha-ha , I had to video tape this in my bathroom, because that was basically the only place where the lightening was good enough (since it gets dark so early here nowadays).

Well, enjoy and I sure hope you won't be too freaked out when you hear my voice! ;)

The song I use in this video is called Hey There Delilah by Plain white T's .

American Denim Jacket: Modekungen
'Busted' Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Transparent Shirt: Acne

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Americans, have a great day/night and eat lots of turkey and enjoy spending time with your closest ones, that is surely one of my favourite things to do!
Here is a recent Spotify list I made including 25 tracks (but will probably be more than that very soon, knowing myself):

ÖVERS.
Tänkte bara dela med mig av en liten Spotify-spellista jag gjorde alldeles nyss, som just nu innehåller 25 låtar men med största sannolikhet kommer att fyllas på alldeles snart (om jag känner mig själv rätt, mina listor är ofta 200 låtar långa)
Ni kan lyssna på den HÄR

Season Picks: Boticca.com

November 23, 2011

December is very soon here and with that, Christmas season also begins and we all have to start thinking about one thing: gifts.
What to give, who to give it to. That is such a huge question for a lot of us, including myself, this season and I thought I would help you out a bit by giving you some gift-inspiration.

All of the things above are from the London-based online boutique Boticca.com  , might also be one of my absolute favourite online shops to find unique gifts (both to myself and to others). All of their things have something special, something that catches the eye. These things are no exception, and even if you might not be willing to spend all that money, I have no doubts you'll find a ton of inspiration clicking through the pages at Boticca:

1. 'Evelyn' leopard printed hat: probably the most Gossip Girl-esque gorgeous ask you could ask for, seriously it even comes in one of those fancy hat-boxes.

2.  The 'Apple' leather bag: when I saw this I literally had to stare at it for like 5 minutes before doing something about it. How gorgeous, weird and fun can one bag be at the same time without confusing itself?! If you're not buying it, I probably will.

3. The Feather Ring: just the perfect thing to put on a ring. A feather. I think this might be a pretty large feather too and I truly love large, clumpsy rings so that's just a bonus!

4. 'Rothschild' swinging man necklace: these are such details I am talking about. Instead of wearing just a necklace, why not wear a necklace of a cute man in a swing? So sweet!

5. Bucks x Ring: This is like the perfect ring to wear during the Holiday season, isn't it? It's white like snow and it looks like a reindeer. Christmas in a nicely wrapped package.

That's all for now. Hope you were a bit inspired at least!

Almost Thanksgiving

November 22, 2011

American Flag denim jacket from MODEKUNGEN

Just something something from what I wore yesterday. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden but I think it seems like such a wonderful, wonderful holiday so I will definitely be giving my thanks come Thursday.

Verkligen, tack!

Questions for upcoming v-log!

November 20, 2011

Lately I have gotten many requests from you to do a v-log (video blog post) where you can hear my voice.
I have always been quite against vlogs (because to be honest here: they often turn out really awkward) but now I'm gonna surrender and give in to you, so ask me all questions you might have (seriously, can be anything and everything, the more fun to answer!) and I will answer them in a vlog later on this week:

Ask them either in this box or in a comment below:

övers.

Fråga mig vad som helst i en kommentar till detta inlägg/i frågeboxen ovanför så svarar jag på era frågor i ett videoinlägg senare i veckan (trots att jag är en sådan motståndare mot videoinläggg egentligen), fråga på! Ju roligare, knäppare frågor desto bättre ju!

Stockholm Snaps part II

November 19, 2011

I am finally back home again after a few intense relatives/family days and right now I am kind of sleepy. I've been editing some leftover photos from me and Cornelia's amazing trip to Stockholm a few weeks ago, so here they are.

1. on our way to Old Town, the bridge right by the parliament

2. Me in Old Town, we mostly just walked around to find good place to shoot photos at.

3. Stockholm by night is sometimes even more amazing than Stockholm by day.

4. Having dinner on Saturday night at a lovely restaurant I almost always go to when I'm in Stockholm.

 5. Lunch! Cornelia ate some extremely delicious pasta with pesto and mozarella, yummy!
6. Cornelia at the same restaurant, she totally looks like she's in a classic American diner or something, though.

7. Shopping was something we did a lot too, of course. Here at Weekday.

8. Right behind the Stockholm Palace on Sunday afternoon, I just love the atmosphere in this photo. So dark and chilly, in a way.

9. Moi!

10. The most delicious raspberry cake we tasted at a café on Saturday afternoon.

11. I love the cute little caramel shops that are everywhere in Stockholm, a must-visit!
