The Bears' Lair part two: a girl dream

What is a "girl dream"? You may ask and I suppose there is no such thing as a "girl dream" that would go for all girls, since we are all individuals and we all have a wide range of dreams of our own. But  I do think that there is a sort of "girl dream" that most girls have had, whether admitting it or not, at one point or another when growing up. That is, owning a huge closet reminding you more of a boutique display window than a closet, full of gorgeous dresses and Chanel bags.

Brooke's room and closet are sort of like that, she has designed and developed this space on her own and I think she has done a fabulous job in doing so, but that's just me.

 Her bedroom goes well with the rest of the "baroque"-inspired house, but with a girly edge to it. 

 Every room looks different in this house but all sort of follow the same pattern of golden details.

I have a new obsession when it comes to clothing. These neoprene, huge sweaters which look sort of odd yet super-mega-awesome cool on photos. They have sort of spaceships/science-fiction kind of things on them and when my mom saw it, she said: "this is not your style at all, Amanda!" 

But I don't know. I guess she's saying that thinking of the fact that I usually wear more "preppy", pastel, simple things and this is sort of edgy. But I am sort of edgy too, in my style. And there's nothing I find more fun than trying on a "new sort" of item and pairing it together with other things to make it look like me and my style.

My Animated Closet part two: the short skirts

My animated closet part two: 

the short skirts. 

I don't think I would find styling myself as fun if it weren't for the short skirts, which are sort of a staple piece in my closet.

A new "outfit" post will be up tomorrow, I know I haven't had too many of those this past week but I have been crazy busy with school and so that is sort of my excuse.

The Bears' Lair Part One

As some of you can recall, I went to Montana in the summer to visit my dear friend Brooke and her family. They own a beautiful estate up on a mountain which they call The Bears' Lair and whilst being there I found myself falling head over heels in love with it, with the interior design and the feeling of the house: they have scented candles lit in every room and the fire is crackling from morning to late night. 

Here are some snaps of this beautiful house, which I was so kindly offered to photograph and publish on here for you guys to see. Part two will be up later.

You will see that the whole house sort of features a baroque kind of style, with lots of decorations in gold, floral patterns and sweeping curtains. 

 The kitchen gives you such a cozy/homey feel, doesn't it? Surely perfect for the upcoming Holiday season.

Seeing as it was 4th of July when I was there, they had a lot of USA-themed decorations, which I sort of adore.

My Animated Closet Part One: shirts

I thought I'd start a new series here on my blog, called: My Animated Closet. 

A series where I will feature items from my closet in sort of annoying, fast-paced GIFs. What do you think about this concept? 

I know a lot of you have asked me questions about my closet and my clothes and so I thought this would be a fun solution to show you my favourite clothes. This first part is all about the shirts and first and foremost, the collars in my closet, because there are a lot of those I'm telling you. 

A mix of pastels, grey, white, black and leopard print which pretty much sums up my personality too.
